Disconnection and then... I'm still on and can't re join?

So tonight, I'm playing along... and my computer disconnects. I'm ok with it, its not a big deal... try and rejoin, and it tells me I'm still on the server. so i contact Trashed, and he gets Anik to try and kick me... but I'm not there to be kicked. whats going on? all of the fixes we've tried do nothing... and Trashed says he's seen this before with other people. Hopefully theres something that can be done about this :)

Restart Steam maybe? Umm, if not.. exit steam, go to your steam folder and delete ClientRegistry.blob. then re-open steam. I remember that from a long time ago. And if that doesn't work, then oh well. Vu tried.

I've seen this happen with two other players. Rek was one and I can't remember the other one. With Rek the admin wasn't able to kick his "ghost" either. Rebooting the computer and restarting steam doesn't help. From what I've seen the player gets kicked and their name remains in the score table. If their name is still listed on the scoreboard then the admin can still kick them. The player can then hop on without a problem. But if the player gets kicked and the map changes then the name isn't in the list and the admin can't kick them. With Rek he waited an hour and then was able to join. With Muiramme I had her try to connect using the console after 10-15 minutes. It told her there were no slots available. I hopped out and she was able to get in. I then rejoined the normal method so not to kick her again using my reserved slot.

Summary of what I know:

Rek
1. Rek was kicked.
2. Name was still in the scoreboard, but there was no admin at the time.
3. Map changed and Rek was not in the scoreboard anymore.
4. Rek restarts steam, but no luck.
5. I got ahold of an admin.
6. Admin was unable to kick Rek because his name wasn't there.
7. Rek is able to join an hour later.

Second Guy
1. He gets kicked.
2. Name is in the scoreboard.
3. An admin is available and kicks him.
4. He's able to rejoin immediately.

Muiramme
1. She gets kicks as the map changes.
2. Her name is obviously not in the scoreboard.
3. Anik tries to kick her, but her name isn't there to be kicked.
4. She tries to restart steam, no luck.
5. After 10 minutes I have her connect using console.
6. It tells her no slots available.
7. I have her enable auto-join for Phlorph
8. I jump out and she gets in.
9. I jump back in without using the console.

This is a known steam bug fyi - I've had it happen to me and well, I own the flippin server ;)

You just have to wait awhile, or wait for server restart at 5am PST

Actually it's a steam bug with the steam connection server and the client not the server you run ironically.
