I had my commencement yesterday, and I just thought I would share with the rest of the phlorph community the awesome keynote speech our speaker gave. There was a little debacle with the UCLA keynote this year since James Franco was supposed to give the speech, but none of the students wanted him to speak. So, Franco backed out as the keynote speaker 7 days before our graduation, as a middle finger to the students. In place of Franco, Conan was asked, but he declined, and instead we got the lead guitarist of Linken Park, Brad Delson. Much to everyone's surprise, he gave a fantastic speech and really rallied the graduates and crowd, and I thought I would share that with the rest of you phlorphers. Enjoy.

I was expecting pure shit because of the band he's in, but god damn that was actually pretty awesome.

I'll chime in with my congratulations! Does this mean you're done school for good, or do you still have many years of learning ahead of you?

Congrats, you going to grad school? I've sitll got a semester left in law school before I'm done there.

I'm going to take a few years off to do work and research and recover from being burnt out. Then it'll either be law school or a phd in biophysics.

Oh, this is a few days late, but thank you everyone for the graduation well wishes. You are all fantastically awesome people.

I'm going to take a few years off to do work and research and recover from being burnt out. Then it'll either be law school or a phd in biophysics.

Dont take too long off, getting back into it will be REALLY hard if you take an extended hiatus
