Portland is getting MLS

Whitecaps are Canadas only succesful sports team unless you count curling and feltching. Granted the "real" soccer players in Europe consider all our MLS a joke ;)

Soccer is quite a cardio workout, I coached some kids once for a couple years.

It is a bunch of people kicking a round ball. I'm not much of a sports person in general. I think baseball is about as exciting as golf for attention span. Football and basketball are just men on the edge of a fight. I think George Carlin actually had a good dissertation about the whole ball vs. keeping score is it a sport thing.

If they shot at the ball soccer might really be worth the time and effort. Most "Pro" sports are an excuse to drink. To pay "Pro" athletes huge sums to play a game is to me a proof that the human race is f'ed up.

I live in rural Oregon and am from Oregon and I'm an Oregonian first and American second but I will tell you that if Portland or Eugene does something stupid like get sucked into soccer its because they have their heads up their asses.

Oh yeah a customer emailed my bosses brother to mention that I was rude to the salesmen I delivered a copier with last week. "treated the salesmen like he thought he was stupid.....treated him very disrepectfully" Well, he asked the dumb questions about using a machine he sold, dur do your homework salesboy.

I love Cali. I moved from norther Wisconsin to San Diego a year and a half ago. The first year was one big shock but I love it here. I can't see living anywhere else.
