It may have be fun to play, but you'll be so frustrated by the game-save mechanism and being forced to replay the same thing over and over and over and over and over, that you'll end up hating the game.

FARCRY2 uses every cheap trick it can think of to try and make the game seem longer than it is.

Don't buy it.

you can save anywhere on the pc version. I heard on console you can only save in those stupid safehouses which would be terribly lame. I don't mind it, it's an OKAY game... it's so damn pretty I can't hate it.

however fallout 3 is even more nice to look at, and it's fun. I think I could have just spent my money on that and been happy

Farcry 2 has solid gameplay, but the story, voice acting, and GOD DAMN JEEPS makes this game only worth a torrent, or a rent at best.

Ok, my bad. The in game tutorial tells you that you can only save at gun shops and flop houses, but moments after starting this thread I saw (as satan pointed out), that you can save at any time.

I now up my rating to 'not bad'. nothing exciting so far. map looks nice, but the combat seems to just be the same thing over and over in pretty much the same scenery over and over (much like assassins creed).

multiplayer is alright, not the greatest but worth an hour or two haha
