Okay. When Halo 3 came out I was a happy camper. The game was great, multiplayer was super fun online, everything was great. Then I started getting an error on my console that said "To play this disc, insert it in an xbox 360 console". The problem was, that's exactly what I was doing. It got so bad that Halo 3 would only boot 1 in 25 times. Every game made before Halo 3 worked perfectly, no issues. Every game after Halo 3 NEVER worked. I gave up on my console and gave it to my girlfriend so she could play Oblivion. Six months pass and I fire my console up and connect to XBL just so I could update my gamerscore and then I was going to recover my profile on my roommate's 360 because his has HDMI and WORKS and it's connected to our dope A/V setup.
Well, my console downloads an update for the system when I connected it to XBL, and lo and behold it boots Halo 3 every damn time I put it in.
I was so angry at the time I was almost foaming at the mouth, having dropped 400 on the system and another 300 in games and accessories.
It's been working like a champ so far. I'll update this thread with any changes. If this thing will play Fallout 3 and Halo 3 continues to work great I will forgive MS for all the frustration I endured.
