So I let my WoW account die this month, and I feel great.

I actually sold my account before the expansion came out, but started playing again about 6 months later. I then leveled up a new character to 70 and played for 6 months (I was playing on my guild leader's second account, so I didn't have to pay which made coming back seem easier), then quit again. Which in turn led me to Team Fortress 2, so maybe it was all for the best!

I played everquest a lot about 6-7 years ago. Quit cuz I got married. Didn't have to just chose to. Years later got sucked into TF2, for fun and relaxation. Nice thing is its an easier thing to take time from. Well remember that married fact. She got a little tired of me laughing and talking to other people without her. And thus another Pyro was begat to the server.

Lol, I play Guild Wars as its free and quite good. And very easy to log out of and do other things. My clanmates fell off planet earth for about a year when WoW came out, not one word from them just vanished then suddenly they came back to life O_O.

I tried WoW for 6 - 8 hours of however long the trial is and found it so boring and dull for what they charge.

Kick the habbit and enjoy life :p

I cancelled my account last november. Late game stuff bored the shit out of me since it was mostly grinding and raids. Though I might go back once the new expansion is round the corner.

All my online game time is consumed by TF2 now.

I played the WOW free trial a couple months ago. I can see getting right into it. Seemed just like everquest though.

Man, I wish my WoW background was that short. I played it during beta, skipped release, picked it up two months after release and played it for a good two years. Quit playing, friend (read Herpes) started playing again so I rerolled on Horde to play with him. Did that for awhile, quit again. Sold the account. Then started up again about 4 months later, rerolled a warrior all the way to 70, quit a few months later again and sold that account. Then, lo and behold, Herpes starts playin' again so I roll another goddamn character, this time a priest to 70, dick around for a few months again, we all get bored, I sell the account yet again. You'd think I'd be done right? Wrong, Wrath of the Bitch King comes out, I start playing again (this time with my father who plays WoW) play a paladin for a bit, then reroll a horde death knight to play with friends, got to 80, got epix, got real bored. Then I started playin' TF2 a lot more. So I was like, screw WoW, is terribad game, sold that account, and am done with it forever!

That and Mortal Online looks way better, is like new UO :(

yes i too have read that people who actually get 9 hours of sleep or something are actually more likely to die earlier lol and couple times too much sleep is actually bad so more sleep the better not so much

My story is close to yours.
I played during beta, skipped release, got an account about four months after, played for a few years... Stopped playing.

Got a new account when Burning Crusade came out... I went to the midnight launch. =(
I played for a few months(close to a year)... Remembered that I hated it, stopped playing.

I've not touched it since.
I'm proud. =D
Fuck that game. I want to kick it until it bleeds, then relieve myself in the wounds... Then Wait till it regains consciousness, then kick it some more. Spit in it's face, call it girls names as I crush it's testicles under my heel. make it....... Oh wait... Where am I? What am I talking about? Who are you all?

Basically I think that World of Warcraft is the scum of the earth and I wish I'd never touched the thing. I feel dirty for having enjoyed it so much in my stupid days.
