Reserved slots changes...

Hey Zerv, can you change the way the reserved slots work? People keep getting kicked because they don't have one...IMHO it'd work better if the server were actually a 24 slot, with 4 hidden, and people only got kicked when all 4 reserved were full...

You can't have a 24 slot server with reserved slots as you have to have hidden slots and valve won't let you go above 24.

What your saying would work in theory but it doesn't because those slots stay empty and cannot be filled by regular people when there are no reserves on.

I think what he meant Zervun, was keep the 20 man server going with 4 hidden slots. So if all 4 slots are taken you'd end up with 24 total players.

Maybe this is what you got out of it as well, and I'm mistaken.

if the server got to 24 all the time because of reserve slots it would rape his bandwidth too

I don't think 4 people is going to make that much of a difference on bandwidth there SATAn or at least now a big difference.

Actually 4 more people is quite a bit more bandwidth.

The main problem is, if there are 4 reserve slots on, and another joins, it will tell them it's server full.

If there is only 1 reserve on it will be 11 v 10 if server full

the way I have it now - there is a hidden 21st slot that is just a swap spot, ie reserve joins, it boots someone and they get to be on.
