Does this annoy people as much as it annoys me? I don't really care if any other class blows me up as I come out of my spawn, but against a demoman their isn't much you can do[besides wait for someone else to get blown up, and then run out]. I've been on other servers that kick for that sort of thing, does anyone think thats a good idea for Phlorph?

PS: Also, need more custom maps :). I'm getting so bored of the valve maps.

I can live with it as it has a pretty small return on the time invested by the demoman (unless your team runs out the door in a group. if they do, it's themselves they should be mad at), after the initial rush of the map start, the best he'll kill is one every so often compared to what he can accomplish out in the map.
On maps where the demo can camp the spawn, one scout should go out first and either get sticky killed or run down the demo and kill him. I'm still waiting to see a scout do that though.

It bugs the hell out of me and is quite rude, but it is a valid strategy with counters. I would much prefer demomen (especially Kefka) don't spawn camp but I wouldn't go so far as to make rules about it.

I agree that server rules don't need to be applied for this. The less changes to the server the better for the server population. I think a better step is to discuss ways to counter a demo spawn camper. Take a look at my tutorial (http://community.phlorph.com/showthread.php?p=1241#post1241) and add your input.

Even though the demo is my least favorite class, mainly because of stickies and the spamming of said stickies, I still don't think there should be any changes.

HOWEVER, I do think that a soldier's rockets should blow up a demo's stickies. End of story. Stickies are little BOMBS, and rockets are, well, ROCKETS. I don't know many bombs that can withstand another bomb hitting them without detonating.

Or perhaps a demo could only detonate stickies if they are in line of sight.

But alas these are game changes and not server rule changes...

The Demoman stickybombs must use FOX-7. It's very resistant to sympathetic detonation, especially if the rockets use a low brisance bursting charge.
