sometimes albums are not so much a favorite, but they always make you feel good.

Four Seasons (Vivaldi)
Little Queen (Heart)

But then there's still Elvis, The Police, Buddy Holly, DSOTM, The Platters, Billly Idol (Rebel Yell), Mozart, The Guess Who, The Doors, Don Maclean (American Pie) Billy Holliday, Glen Miller Band, Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Beattles (Sgt Pepper, White) Johnny Cash etc etc. It's too hard to pick a top 6.
I like too many genres and times of music. I pity the foo who only like on time period/genre.

Top 6 would change depending on the day. I couldn't pick. Too hard.

I'm constantly listening to different types of music, and different bands weekly. I can't pick 5 all time favorites because I just cant choose 5!

As a musician I can appreciate just about everything, but as far as personal significance, I'd say these stand out:

"Leviathan" by Mastodon (quite possibly the greatest active American band period)
"Ænima" by TOOL (tie with Lateralus, I really feel that Lateralus is the resolution to Ænima, kind of like the answer to a question or something.)
"OK Computer" by Radiohead
"Four" by Blues Traveler
"Rage Against the Machine" by Rage Against the Machine
"The Wanderer" by O.A.R. (tie with "Sublime" by Sublime)

What I am listening to now:
