10 seconds gives deaths meaning but doesnt make you twiddle your thumbs...otherwise its just bind rushing jihad suicide squads.

10 sounds good, when there are only like 6 people on the server it's really overkill having to wait that long

I still cannot find a spawn timer that you do not have to adjust for every map and having over 20+ maps it isn't going to happen.
If you guys can find a cvar for it I'll bump it down.

I didn't like the wait a first but then I started giving it a lot more thought (which I'm sure valve did too), and I now think it's best for the game to have the longer wait. It's still less waiting than we had in cs (not for me of course, because I was always last to die :rolleyes: ).
What would be nice, is if it could be set up to allow the dead people from both teams to talk to each other while waiting. misery loves company, people get to know each other. Been so long since I played CS, so not sure if that was default but I know the SIN server had that and it was great. They had a great core of people playing there and being dead was even more fun than playing the game.

I think its called dead talk, not all too sure. But all talk is on for the dead. So the living can't hear it and you can still chitter chatter while engies are camping in sudden death. :o

i remember having that in counter strike. a lot funner than just watching people.. lol. but yeah. i dont think the respawn timer is too long, unless its like, 1v1 or 2v2, then it sucks, but since its usually not, its fine.
