Looks like Valve teamed up with some modders and are releasing a free squad-based co-op third person shooter. Actually looks good, especially for the source engine. I don't know if it is client hosted or server based - but if it is Source then it will probably be Linux. I'm thinking of downloading it (Free!) and would be A-OK with teaming up with some Phlorphers for it.

It also has the SDK and code to go along with it. I might actually look through that and see if I Can't learn something.

Plus, if you watch the trailer, you might recognize a few fiends from half life.

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty cool move that they released the code for it. I think they are hoping for more people using the source engine to make games.

Plus, there is an achievement for this new game called "Hat Trick" with an icon that looks suspiciously like The Heavy rockin' a dead alien on his head. (edit)
