View Full Version : Looking for someone to take over FTP

Well, due to the massive burst of FTP for custom maps and the not that great download speed from the server due to single threading, I thought I'd throw this out there. I don't have the time to keep up with all the custom map crap obviously.

I'm looking for someone who would be willing to take over map maintenance/selection/ftp site.

Before the server move I was using www.fileburst.com (http://www.fileburst.com)

it was pretty crazy speeds and ideal for maps.

You would be responsible to open an account, which costs around $5 - $10 per month depending on bandwidth.

In turn, you will have to download maps, bzip them, and tell me when they are there on the fileburst site - that way I can get them up on the server.

The bonus is that you will make up the map rotation/custom maps and will work with the admin team on those choices (there will be some type of admin voting on them).

I'm looking for someone who can commit to at least a few months or whatever, not someone who is only going to do it for a month.

Black Banjo if he is honest about it, he seems to know a lot about the game. Hope we don't end up seeing all push maps. and a viaduct.

I'd love to do the map maintenance/selection, but can't pay for the site right now.

I'd do it, and I'm easy to reach the majority of the time, but I'm not a huge TF2 guy anymore. I'd still offer to help out though. Phlorph has brought me many a great memory, and being able to help support it would be coo' with me!

If not, I vote for Levi.
Levi's a cool guy in my book.
