Indeed Rek, never have I seen your activity so low :(

Are you running more programs or something? I'm experience something that seems to be server-side sluggishness. My ping and FPS are the same as always yet I lag more and have bizzare hit detection. It's just like overloaded servers I've played on.

Nope, in fact the server never hits more than 40% of 1 of 4 cores. There are only a few processors faster than it, and not by much, not to mention it's the only instance.

Judging by your ping issues lately Salt, it's probably related to your connection in some way. Even though ping and things may look normal other things can be wrong.

During those times of lag do a netgraph 3 and see if you are getting any loss, choke is normal btw

It could be related to graphics card lag also

I havn't been on when there has been any chop at all and I route up to seattle before I come down to portland.

This does not seem right.

Edit: I forgot to mention I do get 5-10 loss sporadically. What does that mean?

Choke up to even 50+ is highly normal if heavy fights, loss is not. Those screenshots you took have only choke not loss. If you are getting even a few loss over 1, then there are issues in your connection. Loss is easily determined because if it is server side it affects everyone, and I don't know of anyone else that has been getting it.

There is a server in beaverton that I get less that 5ms ping from and in fights hits over 80+ choke with no lag. In that case it's most likely the server isn't powerfull enough and there is a buffer, but still no lag. It would most likely be the reverse case here as the server is about as high as you can get.

But again, loss is HUGE, even a few points, choke is normal.

Here is a good readme on this, and your screenshots look 100% normal.

My guess is you are getting sporadic loss, which is definately internet related, all other settings when you get loss don't matter, loss is straight dropping packets.

A "quick and dirty test" is to run a ping -t 198.145.27.10, then ping -t phlorph.com, and maybe a few other sites, let it run for a few hours, if it reports any dropped packets you have issues.

I actually test every 3 days from a new your edu, sdf, in seattle, and portland state for packet loss, just because I'm anal, I have accounts on all, and script it.

Managed to grab a screenshot as a lossy moment was trailing off. This specific incident peaked at 7 and you can see it is not the only occasion on the graph. Is there anything I can do to fix the loss problem? Or am I pretty much screwed?

I get loss fairly frequently, but not constantly.
