Yay, here's hoping the community stays good much longer than the original community did :(
TF2 and NS2 ... going to be hard to get enough time in both :D

I'll certainly give NS2 a try. I never played the original, but I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Server has enough power for 6+ servers.
I emailed Max from NS2 asking if they were going to release a linux server and encouraged him to do it. A few minutes later I did a search on their forums (which I'm on anyway) and found my answer was yes.
I sent a "nevermind" ;) email, and he still responded WITHIN 2 MINUTES saying that it won't be for the engine test but the first alpha.
That fucking rocks, it's Saturday and he still responded WITHIN 2 MINUTES.
Serious props.
While I obviously don't expect that in the future, pretty amazing that he cared.

Shows that they want the community support, which is very good to see.

This is amazing news. NS1 was a ton of fun, I played a community server similar to Phlorph and it made a huge difference in the quality of games. I just realized I havn't pre-ordered NS2 yet... I will have to do that right away.
