Anyone else pick this up?
So far the game is fantastic, the atmosphere is wonderful. Highly suggest you turn the audio to Russian, and turn on subtitles, improves it in my opinion.

Also, Hardcore mode first time through. :D

Just completed it, all in all I'd say this game was...
FANTASTIC.
Seriously, the environment and world around you is absolutely captivating. There aren't nearly enough games that stress environment these days, so things feel cookie cutter, and bland.
Not Metro 2033.
The story is rich, the characters are well done, kudos to 4a for this game.
Going to play this game again, it's just way too fun.

How is the linear aspect of this game? I'm always worried about FPS that don't allow much choice beyond shooting the baddies in a line with a pistol, shotgun, or rocket launcher.

What's the general length? It sounds as though it only took you just a day.

Length is about 10 hours, played on Hardcore first time through, so it's not extensively long, somewhat like Bioshock. It's also unfortunately rather linear, there's some exploration element, but again, like Bioshock, point A to point B.
The game's focus is about delivering a compelling story, from what I can tell, and it definitely excelled there. So if you're looking for something more free roam, this game is not it.

Regardless, game was good enough that I'm playing through it again, and even want to learn Russian now. :D
