Anyone taking bets on how this is going to shake out? I just don't think the demos can do enough direct damage targeting soldiers to make it a fair fight.

Anyone think otherwise?

(That said, I'm gonna be playing demo and fighting for the scotch-swilling underdog.)

It seems to me that the Soldier is going to wipe the floor with this.

There's no way the Demo can compete. Not enough range, his stickies get thrown around by the Soldier's attacks, and nobody ever uses the Grenade Launcher.

I'd help the Demo out, just to give it a chance, but I never play that class. Soldier for me!

Sticky traps, Krit stickies and pipes. Demos have just as much chance of winning.

I've seen more Krits coming from Soldiers than I ever have Demos.

Kritz krieg, sticky traps.

Rockets and such are sometimes dodge-able. Take Gravel Pit point A, a group of people is on the point and someone distracts them at its main entrance, one demo down below can lop a few sticky's up and take everyone out.

Its the same on the soldiers side but will rely more on crits or those people being hurt more to take the heavy damage.

I think its pretty even class wise. Number of players in each class? More play soldier.

I know it's petty, but I've stopped healing/ubering Demos. I'm a horrible person.

I think Demomen will win, since I see a lot more soldiers being played than demomen. There just aren't enough demomen to kill!

I'm throwing my support too the Demo but I know that more people play soldier in general. Too me and what should be a foregone conclusion to Valve is the soldier will win hands down.

This will be a BAD few weeks for snipers.

On second thought I'm not playing until this all blows over. All night I've seen all soldier teams roll through everything.
