Just played the PS3 beta for a couple of days and it was pretty sweet. Took a while to get used to the controls and such. Destructible environment is pretty good and it looks better than MW2. Can't wait for the PC beta.

Hmm, I was unsure of it from just pictures etc. How's the gameplay itself compaired to bf2 / bf1942 + Desert Combat? Or is it closer to the COD style of play? Which I loathe.

its pretty close to bf2. objectives are a bit different but they might just be map specific. pins, badges, and unlocks are pretty fun.

PC beta comes in January with 32-player servers. no dedicated servers for beta of course and probably only a handful of maps.

I loved the single player campaign in the first one. I hope they make the next one with just as much personality.

Been playing the PC beta on and off. I think i have the perfect hardware setup for this one. Everyone without a 5xxx series graphics cards is having framerate issues.

If you can spare one I would love to give it a try. I rarely buy before I test a game out. Just like STO and RUSE beta's were fun and informative.

I was really looking forward to this game, I'm fairly pissed that they made it no dedicated servers, I was going to run one on phlorph.

The game looks great though, I can't wait for bf3. The EA bf games have always been solid.

Dropping 50 bucks for it though I'd like to test it out first.

I'm kinda dissapointed after the whole IW scandal without dedicated servers and other lameness, this was supposed to be the saving light. Now it seems to have gone the IW way.

Quite, I hated 2142, tried it at Quakecon and ick. bf2 had some good gameplay but lack of key binding support and no wide screen = no good.

Bf3 will probably drop dedicated support as well. Not like it costs them that much to let us host our own servers vs them setting it all up...

Ya 2142 was kinda meh,

I liked bf2 alot, but was super pain without widescreen (I had a widescreen before it was released).

Still, it was solid fun gameplay.

I've been playing the BFBC2 Beta, and I've got to say I'm having tons of fun.
The only problems I have is that servers clear out fairly easy (And since the game does not Auto-Balance, the unbalanced teams cause people to leave even faster.) This might be a symptom of the Beta though.
Secondly, it has a bad case of the "Modern Warfare 2" Knife. Nothing quite like one guy eliminating entire squads because he is running around with his knife out.

Really fun though. Loads really quickly and runs like a dream.

played the multiplayer demo last night on ps3, it was only me and 3 other people since it was 430am. It wasn't that fun but that's probably because it was an attack/defend map with only 4 people hahaha

I had enough problems in the demo that I will wait till its on cheap sale. Was not as fun as BF1942 / DC mod to me. Good looking and I liked the level design though...And it worked perfectly in EyeFinity which was a huge plus.

I have no idea how you didn't have fun with this Ripskin.
I'm playing it with 3 friends, and it is WAY more fun than the earlier battlefield games.

I dunno, the hit detection was way off in the month I tinkered with it. Tried quick play and sifting through servers and every time the hits were wonky to me.

I felt more disconnected from the team and not a huge sense of urgency to push ahead vs just camp for it.

The graphics were great, the destructible sections were a lot of fun, the way you black out when your hurt was neat.

But otherwise it just did not do it for me, could just be the singular beta but I dunno. In DC the large maps with more openness as far as where you could go and do, large player numbers allowed for a fun aerial and land and water assaults.

Could just be the beta. If they put out a demo I'll give it another try

I played a bit, don't have much time these days. I think i'm ranked 5 now. The MP is definitely much better than the singleplayer. I find the SP actually quite lame.
