I still have no idea what this game is about, but everybody seems to be excited about it so I'll probably pick it up when it comes out.

I haven't played the first NS, though all of the OG phlorphers make it sound superb. Once Z can run more servers he should throw a NS one up so we can all get a game together or something.

I used to play the old NS SO MUCH! It was a fantastic team game. Matches could last very long but it was a very balanced. The commander RTS style gameplay was executed really well and encourages good teamwork. I really hope Phlorph gets an NS2 server when its released.

I've been following NS2 development with a lot of interest, they created everything from the ground up specifically to allow for massive customization by modders and players after it was released. I used to make custom maps for the original NS so its pretty exciting the work they are putting in for that.

NS was a ton of fun, until the community ruined it.

I stopped playing NS about the time they came out with the patch that had the deathmatch style mode, I hated that. Ruined the gameplay.

I only liked that mode because the maps were small and you could play a few rounds quickly.

I went back to NS for a little while thanks to that. The people were such jerk off know it alls. Banning you for not building just where they told you or shooting an alien then welding their chair upgrades :\

I was about to d/l the release but then read the part about it only being for those that pre-ordered. booo.
