I just noticed this topic! I've been playing demon's souls all weekend, its tons of fun. I hate the stupid tower knight boss, but I managed to kill the spider boss on my second try :) I'm loving the crazy rolling skeleton area too. Silly skeletons can't beat my +7 Dagger of awesome.

Quick question. Does anyone know what that second number across from the attack strength of a weapon means? Its always like +12 or +7 or something, but I have no idea what its for.

not sure what it is, sorry levi. You should add myself and science on the PSN though so we can play. I've summoned science a couple times, he's summoned me as well and it's been a blast. I can never fucking find my little brother to summon when we try to play though, it's so stupid. I spent an hour last night trying to get my brothers fucking soul symbol to show up but it just wouldn't do it.

Oh, and I found out what that number is. Its the bonus you get from your stats(usually strength or dexterity).

Damn it, they need to release the 3.10 FW update for PS3 so it allows cross-game chat. That way I can chat with Satan while playin' it.

I just want to state that I hate the hallway going up to the final boss in the 3rd world(the tower of whatever). It doesn't let me skip the fmv. Annoying.

The Monk in 3-3? You can press start to skip it.

Only sometimes. It tries to summon a black phantom from another PS3, and only lets you skip it if it can't find one. So far I've only managed to skip it once.

I've started up a challenge character. My challenge is to play as a noble and only ever put points into vitality. I want to see if I can finish the game with only one pumped stat.

So far... The first area is really easy. Nobles are better than I expected.

Dual-wield shields.

Hehe, there are a lot of cool things you can try. I dare someone to make a boxer than can only use fist weapons.

Dual Wield shields kind of works...it's wierd.
Also Noble's are stupid good.

Real challenge mode is going Wanderer, pumping all your points into Faith, never picking up any miracles, and using dual small shields only.
